WINEMAKING
This wine underwent whole-berry fermentation in 1-ton bins and was aged for more than 16 months in barrels.

TASTING NOTES
This is like drinking velvet in a glass. It has concentrated flavors of black cherry, violet, blackberry syrup, smoke, toffee, minerals, green tea, white pepper, and baked boysenberry pie.

This wine pairs wonderfully with barbecue pork ribs, Mama's meatloaf, mesquite-grilled tomahawk steak, and lamb lollipops drizzled with raspberry sauce. It also complements Stilton cheese with butter-toasted pecans, veal piccata, dark chocolate, and boysenberry and cream cheese kolache.
