2023 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Yountville)

THE VINES
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Deux Chevaux Vineyard in Yountville, Napa Valley, located directly next to the Napa River. It is comprised of a blend of multiple clones—169, 685, 191, and the old-school “See Clone”. Harvest occurred over a month-long period from mid-October to early-November 2023.

WINEMAKING
The wine was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which were new, before blending and bottling.

TASTING NOTES
A classic Napa Valley-floor Cabernet Sauvignon that is powerful and dense. This left-bank-inspired wine has flavors of black currant, mint, ripe black cherry, and coffee.

FOOD PAIRINGS
Enjoy this wine with cured meats, cheeses, figs, and olives before dinner. After dinner, pair it with dark chocolate and roasted nuts, such as chocolate-covered almonds or brown sugar-sprinkled pecans.
