2023 Napa Cowboy

THE VINES
A Bordeaux-style blend with grapes sourced primarily from Deux Chevaux Vineyard in Yountville (97.5%) and a small portion from Tamber Bey Vineyard in Oakville (2.5%).

WINEMAKING
This well-structured red blend is composed of 51% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Malbec. Individual blocks were hand-harvested at night, destemmed, optically sorted, and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine was aged in French oak for a total of 19 months, with 50% new oak.

TASTING NOTES
This right-bank inspired wine delivers nuanced flavors of red plum, blackberry, chocolate, and toasted almonds. A full-bodied red blend that impresses from the nose throughout the palate, with a well-rounded finish and lovely mouthfeel.

FOOD PAIRINGS
Pair this wine with pork tenderloin and sautéed chanterelle mushrooms. It can also be enjoyed as an "everyday" drinker, as the wine itself is a beautiful indulgence and a mastery of Napa Valley art.
